How can I contact your support?

For pre-sales inquiries or assistance with your CivicVPS server, contact our Customer Support via email or phone.

Can I buy a domain or SSL certificate from you?

Currently, these services are not available. We recommend exploring options with BlueHost, Hostgator, Godaddy, or Namecheap.

How can I order a new VPS as an existing client?

Existing clients can use the CivicVPS Customer Control Panel to place additional orders for new services. You will be redirected to our website to select the products and complete the order process. All necessary information from your existing account will be pre-filled by our system.

How do I get my access data?

To initiate the setup process, place an order and complete the initial payment. Upon receiving your order and payment, we'll begin processing it. Your access authorization details will be sent to the email address you provided during the order process. Please check your spam folder if you don't find the email in your inbox.

How can I cancel an order?

To cancel an order, please log in to your CivicVPS Customer Control Panel and navigate to the "Your orders" section. Locate the order you wish to cancel, and use the provided options to initiate the cancellation process. Keep in mind that cancellation policies may apply, and it's advisable to review our Terms of Service and Refund Policy for more details.

How can I open a dispute and claim a refund?

If you encounter issues or are dissatisfied with our services, you can open a dispute and claim a refund by contacting our Customer Support at refund@civicvps.com. Provide detailed information about the nature of the dispute and the reasons for the refund request. Our support team will review your case promptly and guide you through the resolution process. Where do I find my invoices?

Monthly invoices can be viewed and downloaded in the "Payment Information" section of your CivicVPS Customer Control Panel. It includes new and old invoices. Check your balance and due dates in the Control Panel to determine if any payment is required.

Where can I close my account?

You can terminate your account from the Customer Control Panel.

VPS

Does my VPS come with DDoS protection?

Yes, all our servers packages include DDoS protection by default.

Can I order additional IP addresses for my VPS?

Yes, additional IPv4 addresses can be ordered for VPS. Limits for additional IP addresses apply.

Are there any limits on the number of servers I can order?

By default, each account has a limit of 10. Contact customer support to request an increase.

How do snapshots work?

Our High-Performance VPS series allows you to create "Snapshots" of your system, providing a way to revert to a previous state after updates or installations. Create and manage Snapshots through your CivicVPS Customer Control Panel.

Can I virtualize my VPS?

No, our Virtual Private Servers do not support nested virtualization.

Can I change the specifications of my VPS?

The hardware specifications of our VPS cannot be customized.

Can I upgrade to a different VPS plan later?

Yes, you can upgrade to a larger VPS plan easily through the Customer Control Panel. Downsizing is possible by purchasing a smaller plan and transferring data.

Which Operating Systems are available for my VPS?

Choose from a range of popular Linux distributions: CentOS, Debian and Ubuntu

What happens in the event of a hardware failure?

While we equip our servers with the latest hardware, occasional issues may occur. We quickly recognize and fix them, with minimal impact on your experience. Notifications are sent in advance in case of any necessary downtime.

Can I order additional NVMe storage for the VPS SSD?

Additional NVMe storage is available for VPS NVMe. Upgrade your VPS SSD to VPS NVMe and add NVMe storage through the upgrade process in your CivicVPS Customer Control Panel.

SOFTWARE

I need support for software installed on my server. Can you assist me?

Our technical experts can assist with individual software issues, but please note that we specialize in providing self-managed VPS. Support costs $25 for a 15 minutes live, dedicated session.

Is a reinstallation of the operating system possible?

Perform reinstallations or boot a rescue system for free through your CivicVPS Customer Control Panel. Be aware of potential data loss during the process.

I want to reboot my server; how do I proceed?

Reboot your server for free through the CivicVPS Customer Control Panel. Click on "VPS Control" then select VPS Reboot.

Are there any restrictions regarding the content or the software installations on my server?

Our servers are unmanaged root servers, providing exclusive access. We do not check your server usage unless there are violations of laws or our Terms of Service.

Is there a monitoring option available for my server?

Yes, the 'Full Monitoring' add-on provides individual login access with various monitoring features for your server.

IPv6

IPv6: What is it all about?

IPv6 is a new protocol coexisting with IPv4. IPv4 addresses are becoming scarce, and IPv6 addresses offer a substantially larger pool to address future challenges.

How do I recognize an IPv6 address?

IPv6 addresses consist of 8 hexadecimal tuples, divided by a colon. Example: 2607:f8b0:400c:0c03:0000:0000:0000:0069

How can I use IPv6 on my server at CivicVPS?

Ensure your ISP provides IPv6 and that you use IPv6 when browsing the Internet. You'll receive a /64 network with each server, offering a vast number of IPv6 addresses. IPv4 addresses are also provided.
